Can someone tell me why people want to level their truck with a 2.5" kit in the front and then put 3' blocks in the rear. Wouldn't that be a wash? Maybe the goal for these people is not to level the truck? I'm confused.... I want to just level the truck so just kit in the front right?

 

Most level kits make the front higher than the back, which looks ridiculous, then they have to lift the back to compensate.

Level kits are no good anyhow. Cheap man's lift. They wedge into the suspension and change up the suspension geometry, which is frankly unsafe IMO. A proper suspension lift kit is the only way to go.

 

A spacer is fine to have but it does wear suspension parts down a little quicker. Stay at 2", maybe 2.5", definitely not a 3". But, a majority of people that get a 3" block in the rear have a 4wd truck that has a 2" block stock. So a 3" block is really only 1" higher, which is needed in many cases to give the truck a slight rake after a front end level. If you have a 2wd, get a level for the front and a 1-2" block for the rear. 1" would likely be about perfect. I got a 2" block for my 2wd because I wanted a bit more rake.
