Tuffy Security Underseat Lockbox Install

I got my Tuffy Security Products Underseat Lockbox today. It was an easy install. I have the factory subwoofer, so I had to get the smaller lockbox.

A note - I like the lockbox, but I am not so happy with their customer service and web ordering. The site does not list if it is available or not. You order and they charge you right away even if they are backordered. It took them over a month to get it to me. I would not have minded if they had kept me up to date on the order status.

Blank canvas:

New Box:

Unbolt the seat bolts and slip the brackets under the seat supports. re-install the seat bolts:

Fit the box up to the brackets and install the wing nuts:

And you are done:

You can choose to install a separate bolt threw the floor, but you will have to drill a hole and be sure not to hit anything. I chose not to install it at this time.

For size comparison here is a picture with a 17.3" laptop and case in the lockbox.

Rogue,

Nice looking box! Does it slide at all during more aggressive braking in traffic situations?
Thanks for sharing this.

There's no way for it to slide. It's bolted to the rear seat.

Opps, my bad. Just reread the post rather than staring at the pics (I'm using my phone). Very nice

Thanks! No sliding.

I will be adding some egg crate foam. The full size one looks like it can fit a rifle.

Nice post and thanks for sharing. Too bad they didn't tuck that front corner in a bit, looks like it protrudes and could catch passenger's feet. If you don't have folks in the back very often, it looks perfect!

It sticks out too far and ruins the load flat floor.

But if you need a large locker it is something to consider.

Thanks! I think it looks worse than it is. I don't have people back there too much.

Not sure about yours but my F150 has this huge load flat area behind the cab.
