Yeah but the items you place in the bed are not protected from the elements (tonneau covers can leak) or securely locked inside the cab. Ford has received some complaints about the sub woofer taking up too much floor space and this mod just exacerbates the issue. I know some people like this mod and the Super Duties have the underseat storage, but I prefer Ford stick with the fully flat load floor for the F-150. Ford reads these forums and looks for feedback, and I am giving my opinion on it. I hope the underseat storage works well for the OP.

So much depends on what you typically haul. Subwoofer doesn't bother other me as I leave that seat down. Good place to toss coats etc. Maybe when I'm travelling I would desire the open space left by the two seat flip but, during the week this type of box would be great to toss in my work laptop or related valuables. Looks like Rogue does the same.
I'm coming from a Ranger though so my idea of storage space is skewed! I'm also drinking beer right now if that makes a difference

I know this is an old thread, but any chance the OP could give me the inside measurement on length for this box?

There is a lip on the inside for the lid. Under the lip is 38.12" x 13. At the lip is 36.25" x 12". 7" deep in front and 5" deep in back.

I hope this helps.

That's a pretty neat box. If I didn't have a sub under the seat, I would like that.

I second having the flat floor space..great for the dogs, cargo if needed, etc. Although a locker would be nice to have though. I've been eyeballing the center console safes.

Are those two brackets that are bolted under to the two seat bracket bolts the only things holding it in??? That doesn't look very secure! And I see that the brackets are only held to the box with what appears to be two 1/4" screws! It looks like you could rip the entire box out in seconds with a crowbar!

The box looks good but it looks like it could easily be removed entirely simply by ripping it off of the two 1/4" screws or by taking out the two seat bracket bolts.

OK but what about a real gun like an M-1 or my BM-59? If I just wanted to carry a collapsed stock AR I'd drive a Smart car and not an F-150!

It bolts in through the bottom of the cab as well, trust me you wont be prying the **** out. And when you refer to a "real gun" like an M1 or specifically an "m1a" I laugh, Springfield's soft metal non USGI parts rifles are complete garbage. Trust me a 556 round with kill you just as fast as a 30 cal. Oh and I can fit my 18" barreled Aero Precision AR308 in there no worries, so yes a "real gun" will fit. Again its better that nothing and will deter thieves, mine came with 2 locking mechanisms and I personally have no second thoughts about some Dindu stealing the rifle under my seat now.
