Gague cluster

Hey guys/gals

Can anybody tell me why some F150 have blue gagues and some have red gagues in the cluster?

I am disappointed as i like the blue but my FX4 has red.

Thanks

I believe starting with the 2012 FX packages, Ford started using the red colored gauges. I have a 2011 FX4 and my gauges are blue.

This. Many of the trim lines offer different guage clusters. The ones I can think of are-

FX2/FX4-

XL/STX-

XLT(std)

XLT(optional)-

Lariat/King Ranch-

Platinum-

Limited-

Raptor-

As you can see, pretty wide range of finishes. Man, I must be really bored that I just googled all that lol......

I must be bored too because I just noticed that in all the pictures the trucks are low on fuel.

.
The 2012+ FXs (2 or 4) that have the Sport Appearance Package get the red lighting for the guages. Along with the red seat piping, red badging, etc..

Excerpted from the 2012 F-150 sales brochure .....

Im pretty sure all FX series trucks have the same cluster, sport appearance or not. As far as I know, it was just a change from MY 2011 to MY 2012.

You're contradicting yourself ... If it was ..."just a change from MY 2011 to MY 2012" then all FX series do NOT have the same cluster.

i.e. My Sep'2011 build non-SAP FX4 does not have the FX designation on the tach' face.
