Building a bumper

Well its about time to start throwing more money at my truck. And this month Im goin to tackle the job of building Prerunner bumpers for my truck. I have all the tools and supplies I need, and this will be my second bumper build, but I plan on putting 110% effort into this new bumper. Hopefully when Im done it will look as good as I envision it in my mind. Im modeling it strongly after the ADD standard bumper for the Raptor and the standard bumper for thee 11+ Super Duty.

This is what I hope to end up with, without spending $1300.

Does anybody have any experience building these things or bending DOM tubing?

I do. Made my own sliders for my old xterra that I took out to Moab, UT. I made my front stinger for my 86 K20 and my rear bumper. Minus the rear bumper (3x4 1/4 thick) the DOM i used was 1.75". I got it from the local GRT racing who makes those racing chassis. I ordered a binder and die from a vendor on:

Tons of examples and discounts on parts and various how to's...

I've got the money, the time and the fab skills, but I'm in need of a good tubing bender, some grinding wheels, and a refresher on college algebra and geometry. Haha. I'm thinking that I would like a better approach angle so I might cut the frame horns back a few inches.

You can do ! I built my own on my last truck, saved a lot of money, I would recommend a bender from Midamerican Equipment & Supplies, I bought a E-Z Bend from them, and never had any problems with it, I've had it for 12 years and use it often. Mine is air over hydraulic.
