.best disposable air filter???
I run the Wix, it is the same media at OEM but is twice as tall. I don't know why the stock filter is so short...
Factory Motorcraft on the left short and dirty.
Wix on the right, much more media.
I get between 30-40k with mostly city driving.

Follow the instructions in the owners manual.
Per the owners manual, the change interval should be appx 30,000 miles or so. However, your driving conditions could accelerate that schedule(but not to the point it needs to be replaced every 5k miles). Personally, I would invest in a good quality reusable filter when it is time to replace the one in your truck.....

I think in 106,000 miles I changed the air filters twice. I always had my oil changed at the Ford Dealer and that is all they ever told me I needed it.
From personal experience, I probably would not use a reusable filter.
If they are like the K+N type, they don't filter as well as the stock paper filters do, and if you over oil them, they can gum up your Mass air flow sensor and throw a code, and then you have to clean that off and then reset the computer.
Cost wise if you only need 3 in 100,000 miles, I would just buy the stock filter and let it be.

The Amsoil reusable filter is a dry nanofilter. Best air filter you can buy.
