What size leveling kit 2012 f150 2wd

I want to get a leveling kit but not sure between 2" and 2.5". Does the 2.5" cause more stress to components? If so is it enough to worry about?

2" is perfect on my 2012 SCREW 4x4... 2.5" would definitely have it sitting too high without adding some lift to the rear as well.

Thanks!!

Do you think think there is a difference as far as stress on the ball joints, 2" vs 2.5"

The OP is talking about a 4x2, not a 4x4, just so any suggestions are leading him down the right path.

Ericherich02, with your truck parked on level ground, Grab a tape measure and measure from the ground to the center of the wheel arch on all 4 wheels. what is the front - rear on your 2WD truck?

I'm guessing that a 1.5 inch kit is going to be good for your truck. It's been a while since I read a thread on 2WD levels, but I seem to think the difference is less on a 2WD.

If memory serves me correctly, I think you could even add the factory 4x4 rear blocks and get it a little higher. The factory blocks are 1.25 inches, and I believe that the 2WD comes without any blocks at all. There are a number of members here who have old factory 4x4 blocks kicking around, so if you are in the block market, check out the classifieds section. https://www.f150online.com/forums/pa...2009-2013-124/

I decided to stay away from spacers when I levelled my truck. I went with a set of bilstein 5100's. Read up on them, and consider them an option before making a decision on what is right for you. http://www.bilsteinus.com/fileadmin/...WebArticle.pdf

And welcome to the forum.

2.5 puts it right on. Put truck on level ground, put level on running board, jack front of truck up til level. Bam 2.5 kit.
