Back up camera Ford emblem removal?

Anybody know the best way to get the blue section of the rear emblem off? I know it's a 2 part rear emblem with the back up camera ones but I don't see the best way to remove the blue part that says Ford. Any help or info would be awesome.

Sure, replaced mine. Get a knife and pry it up. It is two piece, the piece is held in by two primary tabs and two secondary ones. Be careful, as I found out I broke the two center tabs when I removed mine - it didn't matter because I replaced it with a black one.

The tabs will always break when removing the rear cam emblem. You'll either have to tape it back on or order a new one. Tasca has them on ebay for about 20-30 bucks, IIRC.

Good to know, means I couldn't have avoided it

Assume you could also use 3M double-sided tape to make it re-adhere if you needed to.

yea, its unavoidable.

IF you could slip it out and nip off those two alignment tabs you might be able to let it back in and get it to drop down saving the retention tabs. You would still need tape to hold it on.

It's easy enough to just buy another one or tape on the old one with the alignment tabs still in place.
