2012 F150 FX4 leveling kit
2012 F150 FX4 leveling kit
I currently have a 2012 F150 FX4 with a 4" Rough Country lift w/35" tires on it. I was thinking about putting on a 2" body lift but someone suggested to me a leveling kit instead. Does anyone know which one would be better?
I believe the easiest route is a leveling kit that bolts to the top of the strut. I just had mine done Friday. There are pictures in my album of before and after...
There are a number of brands out there but all basically do the same thing. They vary from steel to polyurethane. What I put on is billet aluminum... I paid a little extra and got some red ones... Guess what, you can't even see the things... LOL... Oh well, lesson learned
Edit: Oops, just realized you already have a lift... Not sure if that makes a difference in what your options are...

Since Rough Country uses a spacer to obtain the lift, I wouldn't suggest stacking a spacer on top of the current one.
I had a Rough Country 6" lift on my '10 and I was going to add bilstein's and crank them up to get a couple more inches. Since you have the 4" I would contact Rough Country and see if they use the same knuckles for the 6" as the 4". If so just order the the spacer that would come with the 6" lift.
