2010 XLT - 4WD question
2010 XLT - 4WD question
I did search and found one of my answers (slight whine at higher speeds is normal from what it appears).
But I have two other questions.
1. I looked all over the manual and was curious as to the max speed one can be safely in 4WD HI without causing problems.
2. I noticed that when in 4WD I can feel things a bit more in my feet. I presume this is normal since the front wheels are actually now powered and the front crankcase is active. Its not a griding just it feels like things are awake under the truck a bit more (very slight vibration on acceleration, etc).
Just making sure things are fine. I didnt really have to use it last winter..but its coming for us here in Cincinnati tonight/tomorrow and want to be prepared.

1. I think you can go as fast as conditions allow in 4wd. I personally don't go over 60mph in 4wd because I figure if I can drive that fast then road conditions are not bad enough to need 4wd.
2. This is normal.
