They mount inside no interference I could for see. Mine are just zip tied in

The Rugged liners are great. It was a bit of a push to get them in, but I got them in in about 40 minutes. In addition to protecting the underside, they do finish the truck. Ford should at least have them as standard equipment on their higher end trucks.

 

I have the Rugged Liners in mine. I have no complaints about them at all. I just removed them from my 2011, so I can put them in my '13 when it arrives. I told the saleguys I would leave them in if he gave me $500 more on trade-in. Yea, that didn't happen. Rugged Liner also has good customer service. I broke one of the push pins, emailed them about price, got an email in a couple of days saying they are in the mail at no cost. Little things mean alot. At least that is what I have been telling the Wifey all these years.

 

I put the rugged liners in my 2012KR yesterday. Instructions are worthless, but you can figure it out. Look much better with these on than before. As someone else posted, just jack your truck up with a floor jack and you can leave the tires on the truck. Much safer than taking your tire off in my opinion. Did not spray them with any texture spray. Think the smooth plastic will be easier to keep clean. Looking forward to not hearing the load "clunk" of rocks coming out of a tire tread and hitting the exposed metal in the wheel well. Scared the heck out of me first time it happened! And yes, Ford should include this on their lariat, fx4, platinum, and KR models.

 

I wondered how these would be long term for rubbing the paint off, holding sand and salt against the body etc...

I agree. They need to add as standard equipment wheel well liners, flaps on on front liners like they have on Ecoboost, and electric tailgate locks. These are all things I had to add. Trying to figure out the front wheel well liner flap. Oh forgot match the fog light color temperature to the HIDs.
