My new trucks windshield

Hi all!

Well..... I finally traded my '98 supercab, after almost 15 years of great service to me. I have to say it was a sad day (but also good ) I'm now the proud owner of a 2012 XLT 5.0 supercab in blue flame, I tried to get one as close as i could to my old truck.

Anyway..... all in all it's a great truck, I love all the features & do-dads etc... I had a few concerns right at the dealer that I'm surprised I don't hear more about on here, like the bed mis-alignment. I also had a chip in the paint on the back of the cab.....of which they took care of for me, but the most anoying issue I have is the windshield has deformations in it, right in the drivers line of view. It took a while for them to see it, but they did, and admit it's not right. A complaint was sent to Ford along with pictures etc.... they said it is normal and will not address it but the dealer is trying to get it replaced. I have seen this a lot in various cars & trucks over the years so I know it's common, but I never had it on any of my Ford trucks.

Anyone else have this problem & does it bother you? Did you inform your dealer? The service manager and I checked a few other F-150's on the lot and most of them have it but not all are in the drivers view.... even a 2013 FX4 had it. I would be very disapointed if I have to buy a windshield for my brand new truck.

The windshield in mine broke after the first 100 miles. I was driving it home and a rock hit it. It was replaced within a few days.

can't say I've noticed anything on mine. I'm meticulous with the windshield (keeping it clean, looking for chips, etc.) and everything seems ok. What plant built your truck? I wonder if they received a bad batch?
