Put gas in the tank.. Sorry couldn't resist. It won't clear until then, it's a nag reminder.

I filled it up and reset trip meter, no change. No info in manual so I was hoping someone knows how to get the light off without taking it to the dealer.

you'll lose all your radio settings, but take the + terminal off the battery for about a minute. It'll reset everything, but it may clear your light. If it comes back or next time you take the tank down till the light and it stays on after refueling it, take it to the dealer.

I just got home from a road trip and ran it down to 50 miles left so gas light was on, put $100 bucks in and it automatically went off. Only been on a couple times in past 3.5 yrs but it's never stayed after filling

I just test drove '13 FX4 yesterday and the FUEL Light was on. We had 9 miles until empty so the dealer put 4.76 gallons in the tank and it didn't reset for about 15 min. I was about to pull it into the dealer lot because at this point I had 5 until empty. I turned the truck on and off and still nothing. Right as I was about to park it the Fuel Meter reset and we had 75 miles to empty. The guy in the back seat had no idea what happened or how to fix it. He replied, "ummm i know I put gas in it. I have the receipt right here! Maybe the pump is broken?" Needless to say he had no clue and neither did I. Weird how it took so long to reset???

Mine always resets itself as soon as I fill up.

I don't let mine get that low. As much gas as it uses I don't want to risk breaking down somewhere. I can't wait until Sunday to go to Kroger and buy $500 in gift cards so I can save $2 a gallon on my gas at the next fill up. Christmas shopping will be done too!
