Update on my 'Boost!

Hey gang!

I've had my 2012 XLT 4X4 SuperCrew EcoBoost for about 4 months now and I'm about to break 6,000 miles. All I can say is that I freakin' love it. Honestly. It's the smoothest truck I have ever driven, and it scares me some days. The power the truck puts out is ridiculous as well. If I had any *****, I'd take it over to Livernois Motorsports to check out the tunes for the EcoBoost since it's just a few minutes away. Towing the boat or skis is effortless and painless. I will continue to tell everyone who asks me about how I like it to do themselves a favor and buy one.

My only mods so far are a tonneau cover, 20% tint all the way around, and a Sound Ordinance B-8PT for under my rear seat. Didn't want something expensive, just a little more kick for my country I'm considering tires in the future as I literally can't stand the stock SRAs! The truck just screams for bigger tires.

Just figured I'd do a little check-in. Hope you all are enjoying your trucks as well!

How do you like that sub? How did you hook it to the stock radio?

The sub is great. I've got some friends with ridiculous systems in their truck, that they also paid a ridiculous price for. I paid 200 bucks for it, with a wiring kit, and a bass control ****. I'm also a subtle guy. I had all the wires hidden under the plastic door plate, and I ran my bass control **** wire right under my center counsole so all you see is the **** I have mounted at the bottom of my dash. It's a really clean set-up if you do it right. And my friends all ask "What do you got in here?". And it isn't much!

So to answer your question, I love it. If you're someone who's into rap and wants everyone to know it, maybe you should go with something much bigger. I honestly just wanted some kick for my Eric Church or Hank. It makes my roadtrips a blast now since I feel like there's a mini-concert in my truck. Maybe because I'm only used to stock audio! And yeah, I have tested it with rap to see what the bass is like and for what it is, it ain't bad at all.

I hate to say it, but I didn't do the install. I had a friend of mine who does audio for a living hook it up. I dropped the truck off at his house, he called me 45 minutes later and told me to pick it up. So I can't imagine it's that bad. I was nervous about the whole factory radio thing as well and obviously it wasn't much of a problem.

Do you know if any tuners are reporting an increase in MPGs with their maps?

looks good the bigger tires would look killer, but I think they will kill the mileage
