So, I have decided that I have very expensive tastes. I have optioned 3 models so far, an XLT that cam in at over $46K, an FX4 that came in at $52K, and a Lariat that came in at $53k. LOL.

These trucks are getting outrageous in price. 45-50k for a truck is pathetic.

Exactly! Why I had to buy an 8 year old truck to be able to even afford a Lariat. Apparently Ford is now catering to the high middle class. An XLT moderatly equipped was 40k. Now Granted I realize there will be rebates and such but still....

Yep my 05 stickered in at 31,512 (still have the original sticker)
Same truck but a '13 with the same options at 40k
grant it the 5.0 is a hellava lot more motor and the trans is alot better but i dont think they are worth 7k more. Good thing i dont need a HD or Platnium Limited super special one time only dealer edition! XLT suits me just fine. Bought the 05 this year and its been amazing. Surprising how much cheaper a truck is if you wait a few years.

That's nothing - I was over at the dealer yesterday and they had a 2012 F-350 dualie on the lot with a 64k sticker.......

Base truck is $23665.

Curious, did they have the defibrillator handy?

Dear Ford,
Why did you remove reverse sensing system from the XLT with H.D. Payload? On top of that, now you can't get the camera with the H.D. Payload!

You have these options bundled with a package that is not available on XLT with the H.D. Payload. Step down to an XLT without H.D. Payload, I get all kinds of features, but 500-600 lbs less payload.

I thought my next truck would have more options, not less.

Argggggggg.

An STX for me would be $36k. There is no other trim level I would really want as I don't see the extra cost for the higher trim levels being worth it to me. I think I will just stick with what I have and go turbo. Would be a lot cheaper.

Some were asking what the XLT Luxury option was in the order guide, Package 302A is it.

No Plus Package, no Chrome Package, no Luxury Package, no rear view camera, no reverse system system on base XLT, mid XLT or XLT with H.D. Payload.

Does anyone know when the next gen Super Duty will be out? 2015? 2016? 2017?

I hate playing the waiting game, but if the 2013 is any indicator of what the 2015 F-150 will be, my next truck may need to be a F-250 since Ford is severely decontenting the F-150 work trucks.

No reverse sensing aid and no camera on the LONGEST F-150 makes no sense.

I'll also add no powerfolding mirrors on the 8' bed trucks, XLT or XLT H.D. No nice interiors. No nice stereo. 7 lug aluminum wheels in a decent design but with grey paint?

I hope they have 5.0 EcoBoost available for the next gen Super Duty or update the gas engines so it can get some decent mileage. I don't want a diesel.
