I would think it would do better than your 5.4. Ecoboost is more efficient and has more torque as well.

Untill you lift and slap some big tires on a EB - mpg will be decent but not what it would be stock

You might lose 3-4mpg unless you regear. The RPM range will put it in boost.

I average 15.7 MPGs with 34" M/Ts. That's a couple more MPGs than I got with my 06 5.4 with 33" A/Ts.

A taller tire will run lower RPMs at speed, but require more effort to get up to speed. So if you are doing alot of highway driving, tutu may see an increase in mileage if you stay with the same style tire. If you go with a more aggressive tread then it will have more rolling resistance, and catch more air (hence the tire hum on the highway), and you will use more fuel to push them down the road. Taller tires will always result in using more fuel in city driving, because it requires more torque to start moving the bigger tires.

I too am thinking of putting big tires on my ecoboost... Maybe 33s or 34s! I'm curious of the performance as well

I had an Eco with Nitto Mudders 34" and it got about 2 mpg better than my 5.4 did. Great engine for mileage buts it's going to be tough to get good mileage out of any truck with 33's or 35's.
