I am seeing FX2s at Towneast Ford in Mesquite TX for around 32K. Add to that a trade in and you could get a sweet deal.

Personally I am waiting for the 13MY around this time next year to be discounted. I want the MyFord Touch. We have it on our Edge and I really like it.

Towneast had good prices. Their no haggle prices were about $800-1000 higher than Mac Haik, though. For essentially the same truck, MH included the sunroof. The 32k price that TE quotes includes the finance credit of $1500 through FMCC.

Hopefully going to pick up my new 2012 FX4 Screw on Tuesday. $100 over invoice plus rebates.

MSRP $48000
Invoice $43785
Price $38885 ($5000 rebates)
OTD $40500 (Not including trade)

I probably could have got them down another $300 or so, but I am happy.
Truck has very specific options (Gray, Appearance, Luxury, 5.0) that I wanted. We have to drive 200mi to pick it up. Almost all contact was done through email. Easiest vehicle purchase ever! Definitely shop around online, and get OTD emailed quotes, then email them between the dealers that have the truck you want. I actually got one dealer $300 under invoice, but the truck wasn't exactly what I wanted. Almost all of them emailed me the invoice too when I asked.

Ordered Today - 2013 SCREW King Ranch

157 WB, 4x4, 5.0 V8, 3.55 Elec Locking Diff, Black Interior, Blue Jean Metallic paint.
It is loaded. Luxury Package, Chrome Package, Monochrome Package. You have to get all 3 to get single color. Adds Nav, towing and tailgate step. Also got the Box Side Steps.

MSRP 52,295, Invoice 47,319
Managed to get it under invoice, 5200 off msrp. Other offers ranged from invoice to 1000 above invoice. Had a few dealers competing as I have Costco, USAA and X-Plan options. I filled out the internet forms and had 3 calls in 10 minutes. Made sure I got everything clear about what was real then got it in email. Had to be agreed by manager on phone before I drove in. I found the "invoice" cost varied so I had to quote by item, no incentives included, etc. Ad fees and fuel fees were trying to get added.

Wanted the power rail of the Platinum, but will look into fabricating a bracket for the chrome bar to lower it first. AMP Power Step will be added if that fails.

Now the hard part...2 months of waiting...

Wow. Got a call today. Have the VIN and expected delivery date to the dealer is Oct 22nd. He was as surprised as I was and said I am ahead of several orders placed well before mine. Hope it holds up

Is there anything special as a normal customer I could get off of a vehicle. I did special order a truck with a deposit, but I'm totally fine with losing the deposit if I think this particular dealer won't come down on price.

Worse comes to worse, I go down the street to another Ford dealer and get the price I wanted on the truck I just ordered.

All dealers I worked with said deposit was fully refundable and I have seen examples of that on the board as well. Price depends on many things. If you have multiple dealers to choose from and have done your research, I do not see why you would pay AT THE MOST $500-$1000 over the actual invoice (which you can find on several sites). I paid a few hundred below invoice on a newly ordered truck, but had to do a lot of dealing via mail and phone before getting the right price and agreeing to go in to the dealer. Even then, they tried to up the price 3 ways before finally putting a piece of paper in front guaranteeing my price plus tax and license, less any incentives.

If you want a decent deal without haggling, buy 100 shares of Ford stock and after 6 months, you qualify for X-plan. I said decent, not best possible. It's a bit over invoice with doc fee limited to $100.
