I'm not counting my trade in the final number because everyone's trades are unique. I should comment I received $1,000 more in trade on on my 2009 than I expected after going in with NADA and KBB values in mind, which may mean my truck deal above is about $1,000 less than what others have received?
I financed with Ford, then moved my note to my credit union at 2.5% this week.
Hope this helps people who are budgeting for a new truck and like to see the fees etc... that are wrapped up in a purchase! I live in Iowa, which affects the title, registration, and insurance.

I've heard from quite a few people that Iowa isn't the best deal in the US for trucks right now. Not sure if it is the strong ag. economy, or just strong demand overall. I had 2 different trucks located by my dealer, and 1 of them was sold out from under us before we could get the dealer-to-dealer trade completed.
I've heard that there are differences around the country. There are so many trucks sold down here plus there is strong competition from Dodge and Chevy. Sounds like a super nice truck, hope it's a good one for you.

I was thinking that as well. Also, it looks like the OP got taken for a ride on a few of the dealer add ons.....
I'm guessing what happened is that I had a total value for everything, including my trade-in (had to net under $25,000), and all of the negotiating went into the trade, instead of coming off the new purchase price?
Based on KBB my 09' truck had a trade-in of $15,162 (fair value). It was overdue on its 100k service, needed front struts, brakes, and the cam phasers were shot, tie rod ends shot, right valve cover leaking, and the bed was also trashed out from work and hauling, not to mention outside of bed was scratched and dinged up all over. Trade in ended up being $21,400 when I was shooting for $20,000 when I walked in.
Based on everyone's comments, looks like the 'deal' ended up on the trade, not on the new vehicle. In the end the net amount exceeded my goal, kept the deal under $25,000, so I'm satisfied, and since work pays for the truck anyway, I get to drive a 2012!

You might want to check the laws up there in Iowa, paying $46,000 for a truck might be a felony.
All kidding aside, that is a heck of a lot of cash. I gave $20k for my used rig and it dang near put me in the ground. Couldn't sleep for a week. What's your secret for signing on the dotted line?
Congrats on the truck!

I hope that is for all the windows because the front 2 are the only ones not tinted from factory. Even then that's pricey. I paid $120 for 7 windows ( Ford Fusion) and only paid $50 for my front 2 on the F-150.

So far I love the truck. I'm actually surprised at how much they have advanced the trucks just from 2009 until now:
1. Transmission has the select shift/manual functionality, shifts smooth
2. Color display in gauge cluster with apps, etc...
3. Ecoboost
4. Dark lined headlights/taillights
5. Sync mic. is 10x better and in a better location
6. Sync services
7. Ecoboost (its worth saying twice!)
8. Power steering is so much smoother (EPAS)
9. Cooled seats (wasn't available on FX4 in 09)
10. 110v AC outlet
11. Wheel appearance
The two trucks drive completely differently, but in fairness 100k miles will loosen up ANY front end, which affected how the 09 drove.

My 2012 FX4 had a bottom line sticker after package discounts of $43,166. I got x-plan pricing of $40,124 as a starting point. Total other incentives, rebates, bonus cash and such were another $5000 even (750 private cash, 750 trade bonus, 500 I forget what and $3000 ordinary FMC and other rebates). So I paid $35,124 plus tax. My trade-in was just a 98 reg cab beater worth about what they gave me an d it got me the $750 trade rebate so there were no shenanigans involved.
