All you ever needed to know about oil, in case you have not discovered it yet:

UOA's posted on there prove how good MC products are.

Not only does MC semi-syn yield fantastic results it's inexpensive. It was a lot cheaper a couple years ago, fortunately I grabbed about 180 litres of it in Michigan summer 2009 for $11.50 a jug and MC fitlers for $3.17 for my truck and boat! Last time I checked wally had it for about $18.00 a jug but the filters were still under $4 IIRC.

False!! LOL, call me crazy but I drive from Canada to the USA just to buy MC oil and filters at Walmart!!

Last batch of FL1a's for my boat were $3.67 and last round of 820's were $4.17 (went up a dollar from 2009 to 2012).

While travelling to FLA this past year we stopped at a # of walmarts and unfortunately the shelves of MC products had been emptied in some stores, I guess they're popular products, hmmm. So we just drove to the next one!

My local Wallymart has Motorcraft, but not the FL500S

Amsoil at Meijer's.

Sold the truck to a buddy and now has over 400,000 miles with no engine repairs. I'm sure MC is great oil as well.
Meijer's now sells cases of Amsoil, cheaper than what you can buy it from one of their (Amsoil) dealers.

A case of Amsoil 20/50 Syn. Motorcycle oil was $79.99, last time I checked.

Mobil 1 isn't what it used to be. Motorcraft is a great oil for the money. I like Amsoil. Redline is a quality oil as well. If I was going to spend the money I'd go with Amsoil otherwise I would stick with Motorcraft.

LOL... Do you know how silly you are saying "False"? I doubt these people are just lying about what they are seeing. What benefit does it do them? Think about that for a second...

Walmart does in fact sell Motorcraft oil in certain regions. Here in Florida they sell it the brand. They sell a few weights and quite a few filters.

My local Walmart doesn't carry the FL500S either so I get my oil at Walmart. Then I drive about 1 mile to Advance Auto Parts to get a FL500S filter. I still get my FL1A filters for my Bronco at Walmart to save a buck or so.

My local walmart stopped carrying mc oil about a year ago. They still have some of the older filter styles, but have never carried the FL500S. No matter, my dealer only charges me $20 for an oil change, for an EB. I could barely get the supplies for that, I will let them deal with it.

I made this thread a while back when I was having the same debate as you.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...is-report.html

After having the oil analysis done to compare M1 and Motorcraft I decided to make a switch to motorcraft.

whats the warranty issue.... the dealer told me that if the motor has any trouble and it doesnt have MC parts on it (oil , filter , belts hoses ect ... ) ford can say no to motor warranty .... they said they have one in the back now w/ 15k miles on it that ford denied because of no MC oil of filter and no receipt for MC parts .... he told me this because he knows i own my own towing and repair business and wanted to make sure i kept receipts and made tickets with mileage on it for the oil changes i do
