JBMX's Project Build

  • 2010 F150 STX 2wd
  • 4.6 2v
  • 4spd
  • 3.55 rear end

Well I figured now that I finally have a to-do list on my hands with my new (to me) truck, I'd share my plans with everyone. I got a lot in mind, and it certainly won't get done all at once. I plan on chipping away at this bit by bit as time goes by. Hoping to get into the engine sometime next year. Focusing on cosmetic mods over the next half a year. I don't have any intentions of ever getting rid of this thing at least.

I wanted a lightning, instead I'm gonna build a modern one to my liking.

Mods Completed:
  • - Lightning-Inspired Side Exit exhaust
    • SOLO Mach Performance Muffler Single in/Single out to dual tip
  • - Extang Trifecta Bed Cover

Mods Planned (Short-Term):
  • - Rear Window Tint
  • - FX4 6 Bar grille
  • - Raptor heads
  • - LED Tails
  • - LED 3rd Brakelight
  • - 12" Alpine Type-R Sub w/ 1800w kenwood amp
  • - Kenwood Front Door Speakers
  • - Remove rear factory blocks

Mods Planned (Long-Term):
  • - Wheels/Tires
    • - 20" Raceline Wheels
  • - Mustang-Inspired Engine Mods
    • - Ford Racing Manifold
    • - Headers
    • - Cams
    • - Intake
    • - Tune
  • 4.10 Gears
  • Reverse Cowl Hood

This is all subject to change

Hey JBMX when did you step back up to a 150? What happened to the Frontier?

Looking forward to watching the progress!

I got rid of that around March 2011, jumped into a 2011 XLT scab with the 5.0. Loved that truck but things werent working out with the lease and limited miles, got out of it for a fusion. Now I have the fusion DD and the truck to play with.

Yeah but that gives me even more reason to build this one up!

Which LED tails did you go with?

I'd like to find a set of SOLID RED tails... and a solid red third... LED preferably.

I havent bought them yet, but i plan on going with the Recon ebay-knockoffs.

These may be what you are looking for, i want to get the same ones, but the smoked version

I do believe you would also need the resister that Recon mentions to prevent the truck from thinking you have a burnt out bulb.

So im guessing you ride BMX too?
Hells to the ya!!

I like everything you have planned for it, but you'll want bigger wheels (22's) and you'll want to go lower!!!
Please don't put lightning inspired body kit/ground effects on that pretty thing...
