Fords Tow Assistance?????

I had a bad experience with fords tow support, stranded at a busy airport passenger pickup point, out of state. After 3 request for assistance and responses of 1 1/2 service time, we finally had to locate a local tow service (airport supplied) called ford and informed them of same. 4 hours later and finally got a tow truck, dealership now closed etc.
Fortunately tow operator was familiar with the nearest dealer and would deliver and leave at the service department. Picked up 2 days later, fuel pump had failed (20,000 miles) . SanTan Ford in Chandler AZ. super helpful, great service.

Had to acquire a rental vehicle (not covered by fords warranty policy). Considering the issues they caused me and my family, I sent Ford a complaint letter, requesting reimbursement for rental and taxi to acquire same and just received a denial letter, sort of expected that. SanTan Ford also requested Ford to cover the rental due to issues involved with unexceptionable service but to now avail.

My point, for this post, if your in a unfamiliar area and you need a tow (under warranty, suggest locating a local tow company and inform l Ford. In retrospect I would have done things differently.

If this would have happened in a undesirable area, late at night, my family would could have been put in jeopardy.

I don't care whether Ford's tow assistance is free or not, I recommend a AAA membership or towing coverage on your insurance policy.
