I'm trying to figure out if my 09 FX4 Surround will fit the Chrome Harley insert from 2010 and if so what the part number is for just the insert if available... local dealership is no help... it's a chrome 6 bar insert with painted surround...

 

It will fit your grill surround but some OEM grills come with the surround whether you need it or not. You may need to be sitting when they tell you the price. Last time I checked I think the HD grill was over $600.

 

Yeah I just called again and they found it this time at a price of $936 there's one on ebay for $738 but still redicilious... I wonder if I can buy the all chrome 6 bar and pull the center out and put in my PTM surround... it's only like $240...

 

Anyone got a XLT Chrome 6 bar they can look at for me and see if the center portion with the bars can be removed from the chrome surround?

 

Yes-- your exsisting fx4 surround will fit, you are going to get the unpainted surround included with the Harley Grille. I purchased mine through Tasca years ago, I am sure i did not pay anymore than 600 bucks.

I like that 2011 Grille, but that is the silver body colored grille that only came on the 2011 harleys. I like the 2010-2009 chrome versions better.
