Wax new truck
So, when do we get to see pictures of this new beauty, or did you post them in another thread that I somehow missed? Good luck with it, and don't sweat a few swirl marks, if they really bother you a good detailer can probably get them out for you. I know it stinks to see that on a brand new truck though.
Almost any new vehicle is gonna have swirls under the lights. All you need is a nice Meguiars or Griots Garage Dual Action Polisher and some polish and those light swirls should come out. I dont think it would need compound. A polishing pad with some M205 Finish Polish should do the trick.

These are great tools for keeping your truck in top notch shine
id get it all, but for your purposes, you really need the polishing pads and the M205. then use the machine about once a year to get any swirls out of the paint from regular washing.
my hood after treating it with the above:

Guys I took 3M Finesse-it II and hand polished it to get the swurls and small scratchs out and then took mothers top coat (reflections) and polished it and it look great! Hope it was not to soon. But I could not stand looking at them scratchs any longer it also removed haze, I did it by hand. Do you guys think I did the right thing??
Wash with 2 bucket method, dry with Meguiars Water Magnet, detail spray & clay bar, wipe off, Meguiars Ultimate Polish, 2 coats Meguiars Ultimate (liquid) Wax and maintain with Meg's Ultimate Wash & Wax and Meg's Ultimate Quick Wax every other wash.
Fan of Meguiars? This is exactly how I was when I first started. Now I barely use anything Meguiars...
i use nothing but Adam's. I noticed that you joined up on their forum too. Much better crowd for answering any further detailing questions. Not saying there aren't guys here that aren't knowledgeable but obviously their forum is geared for detailing.
