They really should have a gear swap with 37s, it is too much. We had a 6" lifted 2010 with the 5.4 and 3.73s and 37" Swampers and it was an absolute dog and you could feel the shifts were a little notchier than they should have been (30k miles on it) under moderate acceleration. I know quite a few people doing it, and they've been relatively problem free even with 50-70k miles on the setup, 37s with stock gears is really pushing it IMO.

No kidding; never had an issue with the lift and 5.0L. I didn't tow often, but when I did it still felt like nothing was back there...lol.

The 5.0s are a lot better, which is why I pointed out that the truck had the 5.4, but that's still a lot of strain on your drive train. And I'm sure it's slow compared to stock, but what lifted truck isn't?! Haha. But with how much power the new motors have, I'd be hard pressed to keep those stock gears.

But it was all in good conversation

always good conversations here lol six speed helps alot too. i do notice alot of loss power but the programer helps out alot. i can still hold 6 gear on the hwy's

I just didn't want to come off as "that" guy, the Dbag that criticizes everyone for everything they choose to do with their own vehicles that they paid for lol. I'd rather have it be jacked up and a little slower than stock. Trucks are always better higher and they weren't made to be Mustangs. The new motors and trannies certainly help for sure

Haha glad to hear, man! Your truck looks great btw, and it's certainly convenient for ruffn-it to have you as his tire guinea pig cause y'all have the exact same setup!

I'm noticing quite a few crew cabs in here with the 6.5' bed. The best of both worlds.

Those things are monsters

And i still think your truck sits up higher with the same setup, maybe its just the pics, that and the 37's. You don't get any rubbing while turning, if you hit a bump, like a driveway or something?

I noticed that too. His looks noticeably higher, just going by fender gap. I even looked in your albums too, and it seems his has another 2" or something (which you could do too) in the front cause his is also higher in the front than the rear and yours is the other way around. Maybe he has the coilover kit with 'em cranked? Nice pics of the Hooters girl on your truck btw

I also like the winch, didn't noticed that until it was pointed out!
