Okay truck has been ordered and should be built Monday the 5th, got it on the D plan I was wondering if there are any current rebates that can be thrown in on the purchase price, I see some that are offered on dealer stock if purchased before 4/2/2012 but those are for a 6.5 bed 5.0.

Since truck was ordered for me and not a stock order is it not considered dealer stock and since it is a D plan does that also throw a wrench into things? Just trying to get the best bang for the buck. Too much time to think

You are entitles to current incentives, just like buying off the lot
Matter of fact, if incentives are better at the time of delivery to you, you can take the better of the two. Your choice. They are ford incentives, not dealer. Dealer has to honor them.

Yes I am sure it is D plan, my son works at Ford dealership and have paperwork with cost to me showing D plan price.

Well it is only $100.00 difference in the paperwork that I have between A and D plans. I do not have a DORA just a vehicle order confirmation that I received the day I placed the order, it shows all the break down of retail and dealer costs.

Should I go in and ask for a DORA or is this basically the same

 

You should have it for your own records, even if your son works there..

I am also a stock holder, I bought some shares back when Ford was having its 100th bash, my wife and I attended it with the owner of the dealership he said it might get us some extra goodies, wish I would have bought more.

I bleed blue, I currently have a 2007 Shelby GT 500, 2004 Lightning, 72 Maverick race/show car Ford chassis motorhome and just sold a 2008 Sport Trac Adrenalin to purchase the new beast

No, but if I was I would give you a raise and some staff underneath you to take care of this tracking stuff, although I think when things are running smoothly you enjoy doing the tracking

I'd take the raise! It's not my job to track for you guys. Doing this on my own and not on the company's behalf.
Bit of a collection of fords, you have there. Good for you.

 

I know it is not your titled job with Ford and do it out of the kindness of your heart on your own time but it is something Ford should offer that is easily available to the consumer without having to search for how to do it such as a Ford tracking webpage and dealerships should make it known when you order a vehicle how to find it.

I have no problems going to the dealership and asking questions about status of order but for many people this is not possible and if they are like me they dont care for communicating on the phone much less do the sales staff like to be bothered or even have the time to answer questions that they dont have the answer for without doing some research, people like something on paper or the screen in front of them that they can read and digest.

Just my intake on the process of ordering a new vehicle and following it through the build.
