3rd Brake Light TSB # needed.

I've read many threads on the 3rd brake light leaking and also the sat. radio antenna leaking. It also seems that a lot of people say there is a TSB for the 3rd brake light. But i can't find it anywhere. I did find the TSB 10-4-7 for the Sat. radio antenna leak. Is there actually a TSB for the 3rd brake light leak? If so where can I find info on this. I noticed today that mine was leaking and both rear corners of my headliner have water stains.

Has anyone else had this much water to ruin the headliner?
And I'm wondering if this water has caused any rust to the inside of my cab?

I will be calling the dealer tomorrow. Any input would be helpful.

So i'm assuming you work for Ford to get access to the Oasis system? I'd rather not send my VIN over any means on the net. Can you PM a # I can call you and anytime that is good for you and i can read you the VIN? I have an appointment on Wed. morning to get this looked into.

If you are that paranoid, don't waste his time and just deal with the dealer.

glc - I'm not sure why someone would need a VIN to search Ford's DB for a TSB. I'm sure they may have specific TSB's for years and build dates. I'm just looking for the "general" TSB number. Which i can't find, and obviously there isn't one, because there are a lot of people talking about the 3rd brake light leak, but yet not one person posting the actual number. I might as well give out my CC # or my banking #'s too so if it's not under warranty he can just take the money out and send me the parts to fix it.

-nards444 - I did call the dealer and they looked at it today. And of course the service manager never heard of this issue and he told me that there isn't a TSB for this issue either. But he only search Ford stuff nothing on the net. And do you really thing I don't know how to search the net for information. If you would actually take the time to read my first thread you would clearly see that i did search and i couldn't find any info and was asking here for info.

Geese what can you do with an VIN. Why not read this and let me know if you are going to just through your vin out on the net on an unsecured site for anyone to see.

For anyone who cares. It was pouring today on my way to the dealer as i took this pic. Kinda easy to tell there was a problem. They used some sealant on the the light to stop the water from getting in. And they will be replacing my headliner next week. I'm thinking i never noticed the water on the seat before, since there is always are car seat in that spot.

I get what your saying but the issue is with the buyer of the stolen vehicle not really the owner whos VIn was stolen, but either way I got it. But these days you have to safeguard your information but at the same time I stopped worrying about it. I will never advertise my SS#, CC#'s etc. But certain things people can just find out. Anybody can walk up to your truck and write your VIN down 24/7. Another thing I can google your name and find way more information than you care to know.

On the other topic, if your truck is leaking a TSB is not needed.
