Question White drip from rear emblem

Does anyone else have a white line or drip from their rear Ford emblem? It is like a white drip line but is not hard water. I don't know what it could be.

It is hard water or Wax from the car wash.

Are you sure, it does not come off at all. No matter how hard I scrub it you can still see it.

I have the same thing on my '09, best I can guess it dust built up that is running down with the water and sticking to the tailgate. It usually takes wax or a bug and tar remover to get rid of it.

I have the same thing on my 2010. I thought it was from the car wash but the last three washes were by me in my driveway and I still have it. I tried getting it out with wax and it looks better but it still seams like it's burned into the paint. No matter what I do I can still feel it there.

I noticed the same thing after the last wash. After about a half hour after I washed and dried the truck I saw the streak. I tried wiping it off with the damp towel I had dried the truck with and it wouldn't come off. The next day I was able to get it off with Invisible Glass windshield cleaner.
My truck is only a couple months old and has not been waxed, so I don't know what it is.

clay bar the truck then use a pre wax cleaner and then wax it. dirt won't stick to the truck once you do that. any marks like the one you describe will be taken care of during this process

wash, clay bar, compound, and wax the whole tailgate and that should take it off if not then its a problem with the paint.

sounds like maybe the white lithium grease used to lube the tailgate handle mechanism may be draining down the inside of the tailgate and out the emblem. The clay bar should do the trick, but you could also try some bug and tar remover (make sure it is made for painted surfaces!).

I think this is a better route to try first. Shouldn't have to pull out the clay bar quite yet.

However the claybar and polish will make your tailgate look like it is covered in a beautiful sheet of glass!!!

Could you be more specific about a pre wax cleaner Cheef? Does Meguiars make this product?

Thanks
