Loving it !!!

So I purchased my 2011 F150 Crewcab XLT 3.7L on 3 Jan 2012, traded my 1998 F150 XL 4x4 longbed with 181K. The old truck, I was putting on average of 60 to 80 bucks a week in gas to get to work and a few trips into town each week.

The new Truck I filled up and I am still driving on that same tank of gas from two and a half weeks ago. Granted I only have a 13.6 mile round trip to work but I love the gas mileage. My wife and I sat down and figured I am saving almost 150 bucks a month or more just in the gas savings.

I am loving this truck more and more everyday. Go Go F150 !!!

sweet. It always feels better when your new purchase actually eases the wallet over time. In your case the fuel savings is HUGE, especially with the prices on the rise.

The thread had nothing to do with "hey get a look at my new mod". It was a "hey I am loving the gas mileage I am getting". Pictures do no good to explain how happy I am about the mileage this truck gets.

Since you have that need to see another F150, here you go:

Pickup's have come a long way since the 70's and 80's improving gas mileage, sometimes doubling what they use to get.

Even with the added payment? Or did you buy it cash? I sometimes get confused about peoples claims of saving on fuel when most of them added a $400 month+ payment. Either way, with having a 98', I'd say you were about due a new truck. I'm still holding on to my 02' that I bought new, but those new ones sure are tempting.

I went from Diesel to Eb and depending on gas prices am saying 300-350 bucks a month. times that by 12 the truck is paying for its self.

Well, excuse me.
Where I'm living now, there are no F150's. So I'll take all the pictures I can get of my favorite truck.

My payment is very low. With the trade in of my 1998 XL and cash it was very low. The reason I am amazed is that the money I am saving on fuel cost with the new truck versus the old truck, the savings is making my truck payment. This is why I am so happy, I should have fully explained this in my initial post.

Thanks for the replies folks !!!

Dave
