My new 2011 F150 XLT

As promised in this thread https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...e-big-red.html

Here are some pictures of my new ride. Mods in progress: OEM running boards ordered, Weathertech mud guards front and back on order. After those two mods are complete I will decide what I want to do next. suggestions would be appreciated.

I would paint the door handles to match. I think you can get away with the black side mirrors, but I just think the handles would make it look cleaner.

Nice truck, hope it's a good one. Mine has been so far and I just rolled over 17,000 miles. I have a dumb question though. We both have XLTs but yor grill is different. Is it because I have the chrome package or is it something else?

Its the chrome package. IMO the XLT chrome package grille is the best looking grille on the f150's. To the OP, I saw in one of your other posts you have a 3.7L in your new truck. How does that do moving the weight of a SCREW truck? It must have been relatively hard to find, I dont see many SCREWS that have the 3.7L. Very nice truck!

The sticker shows chrome package, not sure why the grills would be different. As far as the 3.7 moving the Screw down the road.........I think it does just fine. Had the 4.6 in my 1998 F150 longbed and in my opinion the newer truck seems to have a little more punch to it. Then again I am not one of those guys who punch it all the time, smooth and steady get's you there everytime)))).

Not to put a wrench in it... but, I have the Chrome package and mine does not look like yours... Chrome package has 18" chrome wheels, chrome door handles, different chrome grill and maybe even a few other things...

Looks clean. You might want to consider aftermarket running boards imo the stockers dont stick out enough.

I am thinking there are different chrome packages. I noticed my sticker says "Chrome package", I also know when I was at the dealership some of the F150's had a "Customer prefered Chrome package". Perhaps that is the differance?

I would assume, myself. They have a Texas Edition, FTX Edition, XTR chrome pkg. There are many out there.
