"CRUNCHING" in front end

the other day after a snow fall and icey conditions i was stopped at a red light, when the light turned green i started accelerating nice and easy and of course due to the weather conditions i started spinning.

anyway when the traction control kicked it there was some major "crunching" sounds coming from the front end, has anyone heard this, is it normal for this ( the "crunching" happens when ever i spin, T/C on or off it doesnt matter).

Im wondering so when i go have it looked at I'll have some idea what im talking about. i have owned other trucks with T/C and no other vehicle ive driven does this???

comments anyone.

Thanks

You need to post what your vehicle is, because we don't know.

Sounds normal to me, mine does this once I really start getting loose. If you don't have the LS this is what is making both back tires spin.

That's where the ABS mechanism is - under the hood. The traction control does kick the ABS in.

If you are still under warranty i would take it to ford, because that doesn't sound
like something you need to let go for too long.
