Adding Sony premium system to stock system.

I didn't know where to put this thread since it falls under all of the topics in the audio threads.
Ok...with that being said, here is my issue.
I got the factory wiring harnesses and pig tails from the dealer.
Followed the wiring diagram and connected all the wires.
Ran the power off the battery with a fuse, and ground to chassis.
Plugged up the Sony 700w amp and sub....
Nothing...
Is this something that I need to take to the dealer and have them turn it on?

Just a guess, but I doubt the OEM in dash stereo even has a remote on function. My money is on you having to change the head unit. Pure speculation though.

BTW, if you are spending time and money on a stereo upgrade, why choose the slightly better, but still craptastic OEM avenue, when there are after market systems that will kill it for the same investment?

I agree, Sony Premium is good enough for stock but could be so much better.
