I just bought an 2011 w/o the tow package and had the tranny cooler in the front added. Its a long thin cooler. I also added everything else needed, hitch, wiring, brakecontroller, etc..

Probaly the biggest thing I needed was heavier duty shocks, the ones that came with the non -tow package are terrible, like being on a trampaline, I would never tow with them.

Hmmm, I guess I have the front mounted trans cooler. It is a long thin one in front of the radiator above the intercooler. I have the tow pkg. but not the max pkg.

i added a brake controller as well pretty simple to install. covered the 4 pin to 7pin with factory plug and play adapters in case i ever need a 7 pin hook up. I added a class 3 curt hitch from etrailer.com 15min install. I do not have brakes on my trailer it's only a 19ft boat/trailer total weight around 3,800lbs. single axle no brakes are on the trailer. I am only towing maybe 3 times a month in the summer max 2 hrs towing. i may add the factory ford cooler down the road. after hearing reviews and different mechanics that trust tell me get a factory one installed and not an aftermarket one because you have to cut lines to install them. I also added a Pro Series Friction Sway Control Kit from etrailer.com and seems to work great and only 60bucks
