One other positive about the 5.0 is that the tuner companies can offer custom tunes for them, and there are already intakes like the BOSS intake. Factory tunes suck, and the difference is well worth the cost of tuner and custom tunes. Head into the tuner section and read about the gains folks have achieved with the sct x3. To the best of my knowledge, the tuner companies have yet to crack the eb tunes, and Ford has major warnings for anyone toying with the factory eb tune. Did you by any chance have a chance to try out the 6.2? Might be a bit of a gas pig, but I'm of the old school "there's no replacement for displacement".

 

Went in and gave asked to lower truck #1 by $1500. They said they couldn't, but in addition to the extra $1500 on truck two, they offered me the extended warranty for 5yrs/100,000km for $800

I told them i wanted truck one, $1500 less and ext warranty for $800 (since they brought it up), and after they said they couldn't again I told them I was going to another dealer to see if they had something similar to 1 for the price i want.

Let's see if they call me back tomorrow

Can't understand why they're so quick to discount truck 2 and not one, it's almost getting to the point where they're almost the same price, but i'm pretty sold on the 5.0L now LOL

 

Good for you....You can build truck #1 online and get internet quotes from several dealers closest to you. Try Cotrac in Dutton as well. I hear real good things about them! You've got till end of the month with current canadian incentive.

They discounted truck two more because it has higher margins as a result of more options. hence, more they can shave off. I would have a hard time buying truck two, no matter how much they discount it you will be paying for the appearance package that you dont want, lol.

All I'm gonna say is that if you tow, the backup camera is worth twice as much as the FoMoCo charges. Rear sensors are worth it, too.
