Took 5 mins. Directions were good except it said during programming when you hit each FOB the doors would lock and unlock instead the trucks horn went off. Its a ford part and you can find it below or copy the part number and get cheaper on EBAY like I did. These fit F150s as far back as 08 from what I saw. These are nice because you can lock keys in and leave it running, never lock yourself out, and if you run out to your truck or outside dont need to run back in for the keys if your truck is locked

You lock the truck with keys in the ignition? Sounds like a recipe for disaster. Try a remote start as a better option. Truck wont get stolen that way.

In 2 years you will be sorry you put that on your truck. The battery is not replacable and will die in about 2 years with regular use. Then you will have an $86 stick on paperweight. I put one on my wifes 08 fusion, needless to say it died after 2 years.
If you must have one, get the built in hard wired version. They are wired directly to the vehicle and do not have the eventual battery failure like the stick on ones do.

remote start shuts off after a while. And thats one reason they created these things for diesels so you could let them run. Had it on my 08 and did it for 2 years without issue. And you know what its not the thing that i leave in walmart parking lot while I grocery shop for an hour. Im talking like in and out of a gas station. And like I said I can always get into my truck without the keys, and with a remote start you have to have your keys. Ie im in boat i can not worry about keys and drop the wife at dock and heat to truck to get stuff, etc etc. Or im out on the lake my buddy coming late can get something I forgot.

you may be right, then guess what Ill take it off and i paid 60 shipped. Hard wired would mean cutting into the door or buying the 150-200 integrated version and either ripping the door panel apart my self or taking it at an hour or two labor. Pretty sure the new one has a batttery

it's no good when your battery dies and your keys are locked inside.

I've had the keyless entry on my last few trucks, and haven't used the feature yet. Really do need to program the code into my phone at some point just in case i lock my keys inside.
