Has anyone tried to use the VIN Decoder tools and been told that they have an invalid VIN? I have tried several sites and every site tells me the same. I have a 2011 Lariat Screw with EcoBoost and my VIN is 1FTFW1ET3BFB56048. Any help would be appreciated.

That is a neat link. I bought my truck in may and was just looking for the window sticker the other day because I was looking for the my axle ratio. I saved a copy of it for my records.

Production date??

Once again I am looking at the window sticker for info. The truck is at a bodyshop and I need the production date. Might I assume the date is in the rectangular box directly below the bar code? [lower center] I see 12 17 09, but nothing to say that is a date.

Bumpity bump. Love to get an answer to the question I posted above this one, about the build date.

Also looking at another damaged truck and I can't get the window sticker link to work. I'll post the vin and maybe someone can help?

Here is the window sticker for the above truck.

As for the date code, I thought it was the day the truck was entered into the system. Usually the build was started on the same day, it all depends on when during the shift the info was entered as to whether the truck was finished the same day day or not.

For all intents and purposes, the date code on the window sticker is the birthday of the truck, at least thats what I regard it as.
