Navigation screen not coming on with the truck

There has been a few instances (5 times) where I get in my truck and the nav screen does not come on when I start my truck. I've tried turning the truck off and opening the door and closing it and waiting for all systems to be off and then trying again but that does not work. Also, I notice that my iPod in the glovebox is not getting powered by sync and that my iPhone does not connect via bluetooth.

It seems to work again at random but never while I'm driving. I do have a lock pick module installed and I'm hoping that is the cause. I will be taking my dash apart tomorrow to remove it and if that doesn't fix it the warranty should take care of it.

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this same issue?

I'll be checking for those tomorrow, thanks. The first time it happened I hit a pothole and the radio turned off while driving. That hasn't happened since. It seems to happen when it's cold in the morning or like tonight it hasn't been started all weekend and it is cold out (46ish)

Sure enough, I left my class and the radio came on.

i didn't mean all the time, just when the nav screen doesn't come on. I hope they get your issues worked out.

I had this happen about a year ago, and yes I also have a lockpick installed. That is not the issue (at least it wasn't in my case).

Nothing I did would get it to turn back on UNTIL I pulled the kick panel in the passenger side footwell, looked up the fuse for the nav system, pulled it and put it back in. It reset it and has worked fine since.

Try this before tearing apart your dash.

It's a hacking device for factory navigation that allows you to view your rear camera on command, install a front camera and view on command, be able to set destinations at any speed and it allows you to watch dvd's while driving.

well I took the fuses for the nav and nav display out and put them back in but the system didn't come on. I guess I'll be taking the lock pick out now to see if that is the culprit

Sorry to hear that man, it was definitely worth a shot. Let us know if you get it figured out.
