Anyone hear anything about if Ford is going to lose much tow rating as they go to the new J2807 standard? I'm going to cry if my truck gets beat by a Yoda. Still embarrassed I was ready to sign the dotted line for a Tundra when this Gen first came out (that V8 had me hooked), until I closed the tailgate and it bent

I doubt the F-150's ratings will drop by much at all as they are the most overbuilt truck on the half ton market. I would expect the toyota and GM products to suffer the most as they are the lightest structurally and the rear drum brakes on the GMs.

Toyota already is using the new numbers, max tow went from 10,800 to 10,400. I was thinking the Ram would take a big dive with that multi-coil rear suspension. Should be interesting to see after all these years of manufacturers leap frogging each other.
