I once ran a Amateur Radio Supply Store that went out of business because people would rather buy online than locally, even though I shopped the same places and kept my prices matched, since I had to charge sales tax and you had to drive to the store, many just bought online and let the brown truck bring it to them. So I bought my camera locally to help my local economy.
Was my camera selection the best, nope, but it allowed me to support a local business which is income to my community and it doesn't look that bad and is good enough for who it is far.
I like the back up camera's in the mirror, but as I got to reading if I did that then I would have to buy a microphone for my sync to work and I like my sync, so the project just kept growing and my setup was more simplistic and cheaper. I only need the camera to hook up to the trailer if I am going to take the mower in for service or occasionally I pick someone who is down on their luck or sick and go mow their grass for them. Or a couple of times a year take the boat to the marina and back home so I don't need a big in dash fancy cam. I probably could have gotten by with just sticking this in the glove box and just pulling it out when I needed it.
You didn't even come close to hurting my feelings, I was honestly just joking back, my chrome comment had me chuckling so much the wife asked me what was going on. But the next dude came along for no other reason but to stir the pot, looking at his postings that seems to be a pattern with him.
I realize there are many tastes, to chrome or not chrome, paint to match or black out, dubs or not, lift or lower. To me if done well all the styles look nice, some don't see it that way.
As for as you and me, we're golden! supermotoXfreak stuck his nose in a conversation he had no business in and tried to be the internet police when he shouldn't have.

I do like it, so does the wife, you don't see some big suction cup mount, you don't see any wires, I am pleased. I posted to show there are other lower cost options in backup cameras.
I have often wanted to learn how to make molds and make plastic fixtures, If I could I would make one for the same spot that would surround that camera or even take that one out of its case and make a new case that would pitch it towards me and form fit to the dash... but I don't have that skill, maybe something I could learn this winter while hibernating.

Yeah, I am a big talker, been a member since 12/31/2003 and only have 56 posts, I read a lot, I just don't see the need to post my opinion on every post. Same way in life, put me in a group and I am the quite one.
I don't have to have the best, I am a simple man. I live in a ranch house that was built in the 60's (its been updated I am not living in the past), I bought my 2011 with 7000 miles on it, I shopped around for a good used truck so I could save money and not take the big hit on depreciation. As I get older (41 now) I try to use my noggin and think ahead with my purchases.

They brag that they have a range of 75 feet but I think you would get a lot of interference with it that far away from the monitor.

Congrats on the mod. I've been considering doing the same on my '03
