I hadn't thought that it was a problem with alignment. I really just thought that the lights were brighter. I see some pretty bright headlights on other vehicles.

I did remove the blocks on the rear leaf springs to level the truck. I've only got about 6500 easy miles on this truck.

I'll have to check the alignment to see if there's an issue.

If you removed those blocks, you really do need to adjust your headlight aim because they have effectively moved up.

I don't get flashed by oncoming cars but boy do I light up the interior of cars when I'm behind them due to the leveling kit (BTW I did re align and its just the height of my truck to their mirrors when I'm behind them)

Is this a '09-'12 problem? or earlier models...kind of confused by the replies here

It's going to be a problem with ANY vehicle that's been lifted or leveled without a proper headlight realignment. Mine is dead stock with Silverstar Ultras and I get flashed when I tow a 3500# trailer with no weight distribution or suspension assist.

Was at the dearlership for an oil change today and had them align the headlights. They did it under warranty even after I told them I removed the blocks.

I posted this here because my truck is a 2011. I thought that the problem might have been unique to the 09-12 trucks. I've learned from the replies that my issue is a result of my removing the blocks from the leaf springs.

After I installed a 1.5" level I have started to get flashed every time I drive at night. Last week I was actually flashed by a Semi. I've tried to lower the beams but no matter how much I turn the adjustment screws the lights will not lower.

I adjusted my healights after installing my leveling kit and bigger tires. It improved my night drivng visibility and nobody has flashed me with their high beams yet.

You sure you are turning the adjuster? They are a little tricky. It may feel like you are turning it, but you could be just spinning the screwdriver over the top. I was doing this until I looked at the way it was set up. Use a flat blade screwdriver and be sure it is actually making contact with the tab that gets turned. This may not be your issue, but I would be surprised if it was all the way lowered from the factory. They need to have some leeway in them to adjust for different loads. You may also be able to bring them down a little moving the whole housing. I believe it is held by three 10mm bolts two at top, one behind the flexible rubber cover. Loosen them and pull at the top of the housing toward you then re-tighten while holding it in place.

You might want to check your Owner's Manual there. Mine (for my 2010) specifically says to use a Phillips head screwdriver. The thing you will notice is that it takes a heck of a lot of turning to get much movement though.

I believe you are right , I was going by my memory and should have looked. The thing to check for is to make sure it is actually spinning the adjuster and not just spinning in the hole over the top of the tab.

Thanks for the correction.
