Yeah, I'd trust KEM over BD. Spartan was originally going to get involved , but since have bowed out. I don't know if Livernois or Evolution Performance have any F-150 EB plans.

Haven't been to their shop in a few months, but they (livernois) were definitely working on it the past few times I was in there (I buy my race fuel from them).

If that's how it pans out and it can be verified/proven that the tuner leaves no trace, I'M IN!!

Ditto! That would be awesome! I am unfamiliar with diesel tuning and it's variations, but if it's flashing the PCM doesn't it always show up?

BTW, awesome truck DTM030! I have seen your YouTube videos, I can't wait to hear how the aFe intake does.

My understanding is that it does. It's a computer and if it is accessed, it should leave a track showing it.

That is my understanding of how it works too. I was just curious if there was some trick/technique diesel tuners had with PCMs.

The diesel programmers like KEM, H&S, Spartan, etc.. leave no foot print that the dealership computers can trace.

Interesting! My curiosity is peaked, now can anyone explain how they did a work around or is it a trade secret?

Thanks bud. I wish mine had that nice lift kit you are running. How are you liking the Rize kit?

I am going to keep modding once there are better products for the EB.

How do they not have the computer register a P1000 when any flash requires a reset?

FYI, generally with most tuners there is a "trace" but it is indicative of someone "reading" the ECM, not tampering with it. So you could easily say a dealer checked the system.

Where did you hear this? Gas or diesel motors?
