I dont think we got past the 'uglyness' of the grille to begin with, to make it to how well its made.

I am considering the E-Auto Grille in chrome and paint the surround panel my trucks color. [see above e-bay items]
I would have to live with the -OOOO- on front!

That OOOO looks like a defective or irregular FORD. Kind of like you bought it at Ross.

Some time ago I noticed on a Ford forum somewhere that some one was cutting the word F O R D out of aluminum. They were the same size as the letters on the OEM Raptor grille. I sent him a message but he never got back to me and I lost track. Anyone see this? I think he was in western Canada.
Im thinking the letters would be a welcome addition to that aftermarket OOOO grille above!

Anyone try one of these? Look decent IMHO. Seems they're still selling on e-Bay. 271 sold to date. Very reasonable @ $140

I bought one about three maybe two years ago. Before I got the real one, I painted the top to match the hood. I just sold mine with the hood for the xlt. I had to screw it to my hood.
I think they modified the later ones so you dont have to do that. I have pic in my garage.
I had it a couple of years before I changed the hood and fenders.

Mcneil quoted me $300 for grille and $60 to ship. He said I would have to drill 5 holes in the Hood to mount it. Thinking this might be a better choice than the OOOO grille lol

Yeah, like the look but would like to hear from someone who's bought the same. Can't follow the previous post as to how he attached it, or if it's the same one we're talking about? Want something that uses same mount as the stock grill. Not into fab work to "make it fit." Maybe someone can post a picture?

Later this spring will be fabricating a 2009+ F-150 Raptor-like grille. Components will be ...
  • A OOOO aftermarket grille ...

    +(plus)
  • The middle section of a smashed-up Raptor grille ...

    Which (hopefully) =(equals)
NOTE: The brick-work pattern of the upper and lower sections of the smashed-up Raptor grille will be used to fabricate a lower bumper grille.
.

Why not just use a real Raptor grille and fabricate a custom adaptor to attach the grille to the hood.
