Eco boost mods....

Anyone installed any performance mods on their EB yet? Or is there anything available, intakes or exhaust??? Or is everyone pleased with how their truck performs and doesnt feel the need to modify.

Thanks guys. I just read that TSB, sounds like EB owners are screwed even if they put an intake on. But also how many other TSB's has Ford put out warning about mods on Mustangs and other vehicles that are most likely to be modified??

Those TSBs are nothing new, but Ford does seem to be getting serious about it. I think that if you mod, it is with that risk involved and you have to decide if it is worth it to you.

If the dealer thinks it caused a problem with the suspension.

Well I work at a Ford dealership, and yes you are right Bluejay, they are getting really tight on everything and have been for awhile, even on what they will warranty and what they will not. Of course they did not need the bail out money when all that went down, so I guess being tight, pays off for them. But yet it is hard on the customer. I just hope the EB has enough for what I need it to do.

I was over at Ford the other day - and I heard one of the service advisors talking to someone on the phone. He asked them if they had a programmer - and apparently the answer was "yes" - the advisor told the person to return it to stock and remove the programmer before coming in, or he would have to void their powertrain warranty. He also told them that they WOULD reflash the computer (at no charge) whether they wanted it or not.

At least he was upfront about it and gave them an opportunity to preserve the warranty.

My truck is well out of warranty but I had a group of guys looking at my efans last time I brought it in for service. Maybe they were trying to relate the efans to my faulty cam synchronizer?
