Anyone Have the Far Left A/C Vent Chirp?

I have a brand new 2011 F150 XLT Supercab and ever since I got it there has been a chirping sound coming from the dash in the area of the far left A/C vent when I go over bumps in the road. If I press on the dash in that area I can reproduce the sound. I also popped out the A/C vent louver and housing insert and then put my hand in the hole and pulled on the dash back and forth and it made that same chirp sound. It happens most in the afternoon when it is hot out. It is really driving me insane and I need to find out what it is. I took off the left side acces panel to the dash where the vent tube passes through to the door and looked behind the dash. I also looked from underneath with a flashlight and I don't know the source of the chirp. There is a lot back there. I don't have time to take off work to take it to the dealership and from what people are saying they will only tell me they can't replicate the sound. It doesn't sound like a serious issue but it is so annoying and ruining the experience of this new truck. Thank you.

i have a sound coming from that area but I would describe it as more of a plastic on plastic squeak. It has been annoying the hell out of me and am about to take it it. Sucks because it isnt a constant problem just some of the time

Start taking things apart until you find it .If it's plastic to plastic you could put some silicone lube on it or perhaps you can tighten things.

I found a solution for mine. I read on an old post in another forum. I sprayed Armor-All in all the cracks and seams of the dash in that area. Then I opened the side access panel of the dash where the hole is for ventilation to the door. I sprayed white lithium grease on all the joints and plastic seams in there. Now there is still is no sound at all coming from the dash after two weeks.

Just out of curiosity why did you bother yourself? On a $35k+ automobile I plan on taking this bad boy in whenever there is a problem just for the principality of the fact LoL

I have to have my truck for work. I don't have time to let the dealer have it for days just to tell me they can't reproduce the odd sound it was making. If I can quickly and easily fix it myself then I will. If it was something more serious then I would take it to them.

ya know...i've recently heard an infrequent faint chirp when the truck goes through a twisting action. i guess i'll have to pay mor attention to where it's coming from... :-(
