Ive always wanted a Lightning. But, they just werent practical for me, for a lot of different reasons. Ive always needed a roomy 4WD truck.

Looks like I can have both now!

Well, almost.

Question

Lightning could go 140 mph as I remember . Is the EB governored at 100 like the rest of the F-150s ??

A quick tune would take care of that.

Throw an exhaust, intake and tune and hit the track again with that lightning. As for the governor a tune can fix that.

I bet it would lol a heavier, 4x4 with a v6 is giving them a run for their money.

I checked out your copy post over on the other bored lol, their is a lot of haters over their. I think one guy blamed the run on the elevation hahaha I understand that elevation can affect the run but come on just give the truck it's props. it weighs more, it a 4x4, its a v6 and it has 22's.

Nothing wrong as long as the driver was asleep when the tree changed.

I had a buddy that bought a new 02 Lightening and completely stock it ran 13.70s@102.....that was in Summer air... Headers/pulley/exhaust/tuning it went 12.80s. Built tranny, custom converter and winter air it went 12.20s.... This was still with the stock engine and non ported blower and way back in the mid 2000s.... Hell even 1999 Lightenings will run 14.00s stock...

the video inspired me to call up a guy i know that has a bone stock Lightning. He and a friend of his with a cummins dodge mega cab showed up.

we ran all three trucks, the L took me off the line but i soon started gaining. after about the 1/8th mile he started walking away. he didnt win by much, maybe 4 lenghts. the dodge, wasnt close enough to measure

we ran 4 times and pretty much the same results.

the temps were close to 100 degrees so the lightning might have lost alittle timing, which might have been the reason i started reeling him in untill about the 1/8th. i was suprised as all get out the eco keeped up with the L as good as it did. the eco doesnt "feel" as fast as it is
