FX4 Ordered!

Placed the deposit today!

2011 FX4 Supercab in silver
Ecoboost
Luxury pkg
Rear view cam
Sony audio

Wanted the 20" wheels but those are not available due to the tire shortage, which is too bad. Asked the dealer if it would be possible to trade wheels with a truck on the lot but he said it couldn't be done.
Now the waiting begins! At least it gives me time to shop for some parts...
6-8 weeks puts scheduled delivery between end of Sep to early Oct.

Congrats! I just ordered my truck about 2 weeks ago. I phoned the dealer yesterday and looks like it might go into production this week. The computer said Sept 5th ETA. Dealer said they never show up on time.

Congrats on the order!

I call BS about the wheels. I almost did a dealer trade for a truck with the 20's and asked to swap them out with the 18's and they said no problem. The truck only had the 5.5' bed however so it fell through anyways.

Now the waiting begins, im about 10 days into and starting to go nuts!

Congrats .... You'll love it for sure.

I'll tell you though, if I was wanting 20s and if I was writing the check, the dealer would make me happy if he expected to get that check or I'ld look around and find one who could.

Cool, sounds like we have the same truck on order. Stange about the 20's. When I ordered mine they were in a severe shortage of everything (screw bodies, navigation, bed liners, 20's, etc.) My order went through (i didn't order nav) just fine and I was prepared to wait 14-16 weeks. It was built on the 4th and waiting on an update this week. I'd have them check again on the 20's.

I ordered my FX4 with the 20" wheels. Way better looking than the 18"s. But the front ones were a lighter color gray than the back wheels. The dealer did replace them under warranty, but after a regional Ford rep inspected them and approved the replacement. I wondering if this could be causing an issue with their supply of them. Anybody else with a FX4 experience different color 20" wheels?

I was able to tell by looking at the center cap. The center cap was the correct shade of gray(darker shade of gray).

It does suck about the wheels, but it wasnt a deal breaker. According to the dealer (great source lol), its likely that they will not have the tires ready to include them in 2011 factory orders as the deadline is fast approaching, but that the tires would be available a bit later on the 2012s. Which would mean less incentives than the 2011.
I totally love the looks of those 20' wheels, especially with a leveling kit and larger tires (ie mcnastys truck).
