2011 Grilles???

Anyone changed the Grille in their 2011, 2010 or 09?? I am thinking of changing mine to the XLT Chrome Pkg or Lariat Chrome Pkg, but not sure how it will look. My truck has the Max Trailer tow with chrome caps and 6" factory chroms boards. Anyone have any pics???

From what I understand, it is a pretty straightforward process. However, I have read the tangs on the grilles are pretty fragile and frequently the grille coming off is no longer usable because the tangs are destroyed.

nathan08fx4 I have a few questions for you. I know this probably isn't the spot to ask or the thread to ask on but I'm new so I don't know any better lol. Currently I drive an Audi. One of the biggest mistakes I've made. I've been looking at the EB for a while now and have absolutely fallen in love with that truck.

You seem like a guy who knows what he is talking about and you also happen to work at a dealership. So here's a few questions. If I get the FX4 edition of the truck is it possible to have the dealer put on Raptor tires and rims and suspension? Would it then be covered under Fords warranty of the truck? My other question is is it possible (assuming I can order it with those parts I would like) to get the truck in flat black paint?

That way I could drive the truck off the lot just how I want it and wouldn't have to do any changes myself. Since I'm one of those guys that thinks he knows what he's doing until he's actually doing it.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know what truck you have, but my sig shows my '11 with XLT chrome package.

You need chrome bumpers for a chrome grill, but I'm assuming if you have chrome mirror caps, this is probably the case. I would suggest getting rid of the caps, IMHO they are by far the ugliest chrome accent piece on these trucks. (Especially on those awful towing mirrors)

You can also look at my "garage" pics.

Loren_N ... If I get the FX4 edition of the truck is it possible to have the dealer put on Raptor tires and rims and suspension?
Wheels (rims+tires) - Yes. *Though will be pricey thru the dealership. Less expensive to buy take-offs (they're usually not found at a dealership).

Suspension - No. Track width and geometry are WAY too far different.

... get the truck in flat black paint?
Would have to be an after-delivery change. Again ... Pricey.
