Talked to guy that has 120k on EB and 125k on 5.0
Yea.. These truck have always been drove atleast 16 hrs a day if not close to 20hrs..Right now they are doing a test for Michelin and they are being run 24hrs a day six days a week and still have a month to go.
Oh definitely, and, by those trucks, needing a tranny at an average of 200k is by no means bad.
I have passed that facility a few times, years ago. I think it was a Firestone track. I don't know what keeps the drivers from getting bored to death.

12 hour shifts. Usually with regualr tests they do 8hr shifts unless there is a break down then sometime its 15 or 16 hours.. they cant leave the truck on the side of the road, have to wait for a replacement to come and then do the tire change on the side of the road with the replacement truck.
Off topic but Michelin is doing tests on 2 different tires that has not hit the market yet
One is a All Terrian that is suppose to be a 80,000 mile tire..
Then another highway tire thats suppose to be a 100k mile tire..
So far they are doing great with the mileage test..

Cant remember if it was already mentioned in the other 5 pages but whats the Maintenance records on them. Oils changes only or is all fluids changed at recommended times by Ford. Those miles and major repairs are impressive to me for what they are put through. The every day driver should not experience the same results I wouldnt think.

Not exactly. The maintenance schedule still shows a recommendation to change it every 150k under non-normal operating conditions (example - towing).
