hey OP i did the same damage to mine but on a cement post. Havent gotten an estimate so Im curious to see what you get.

I leaned a shovel up against my tailgate and it put a small dent into it.

Remember that the materials and design of vehicles are chosen to protect the occupants not the vehicle !! Exterior air-bags might be a good solution !

ooouch

i have a 2011 f150 stx and put a dent in it before i made the first payment.
damm telephone poles lmao
went to the dealer and they want 400 bucks for a new one with out paint
i dnt have a sensor or a camera and never had a problem
but i do now
