Greetings from Iraq, hope everyone is doing great!...I know I am? lol
While I get very little down time over here, I spend it all trying to figure out what I want to do with my sweet heart. I have a 2010 F-150 XLT, 4x2, with the chrome package. I've been looking into lowering the rear end 2 inches which brings it completely level...right? I've then been looking as rims for it. I'm still stuck in the stage of whether or not I want chrome or black rims. My truck is dark blue, but has chrome trim. I'm looking at 22 inch rims. Your thoughts on either rim finish? I'll post a link to the rims I'm currently looking at. They are KMC Slide (black and chrome), KMC Clone, and American Racing Circuit (black and chrome). Any help there would be much appreciated! On the 'to do list' for when I get back state side is to do little stuff like window tint, custom seat covers, LED lighting, and then a few minor/major debatable things.
While 'ebaying' I saw a grille that is in the style of the Range Rover. I sorta thought it was neat looking and also it'd set my truck apart. Not sure how it would go with the chrome bumpers though. (I'll post all the links to this stuff below).
Also, I saw somewhere along the internet people putting clearance/roof lights on their F150. Never did I see them on a lowered truck though. I'm look at the Recon smoked clearance light that goes on a Chevy 2500. (long strip in the middle, single on the ends). They are LED also. I'm 5-/50 on that honestly. I just can't imagine cutting into my roof though, ha!
And to finish it, I think I'm going to try and find on ebay a center console from a FX2/4 and install it in my truck. I like the full flow through center console. I would take the shifter out and with a little fiberglass action, make a place to store my wallet and phone. I'm pretty sure the center console will fit, but with the ipod outlet and that, not 100% sure. I might just find out the hard way!

Hmmm, where to start. I would think the black rims would clash since you have a chrome package and everything else is chrome. But then again some may say it's way to much chrome, personal preference there. Maybe photoshop or have someone photoshop the rims on your truck to get a feel for them.

I'm not to fond of the grille, but again it's your truck if you like it then do it. It would be a bunch more chrome bling added to your truck though if thats what you want.

 

I hear ya. I think I'm gonna go with the 22 inch KMC Slide rims in chrome. A part of me wants to turn my truck in after this deployment and get a FX2 or 4...decisions, decisions lol! Any new plans for your ride?

Hey, thanks buddy, I appreciate the info. I think I'm gonna go with a 2 inch lowering kit and then get those KMC Slide 22 inch rims in chrome. I think that will look the best...well I hope it does haha. Once I get them on I'll figure out whether or not I want to take the step bar off or not. I wonder how beneficial it'd be if I just turned my in and got a 2011/12. hmm, the decision lol!
