Ah, if you only knew how much abuse this truck will get in its life. LMAO

And it's not spending money for the sake of spending money. It's spending money because I want it, I can, and I won't miss it for a second.

holy crap what a build. I love the look of the stock interior. At first I wasnt to about the switch. However It's different and one of a kind and does look good. And i cant imagine how much time and effort you have in that! who cares about the money. It's your money and we all have hobbies that we dump money into. Thats what makes life interesting. But what really sealed the deal was the blower ... Having owned nothing but mustangs until a few years ago. I can appreciate a good blower! Good luck on the rest of the build. Truck is gonna look awesome! Be a great combo of show and go!

For the most part, from attending several SEMA shows in the past, the vehicles on display are typically just that: for display. This is so that they can look all purty and clean to provide the most "bling" and "wow" factor to show attendee's (who want's to look at a muddy under-carriage that prevents anyone from seeing all the hard work put into the smallest of details).

That does NOT mean the vehicle is not very capable; quite the contrary most of the time.

After the vehicle is "retired" from the show circuit, then perhaps it would finally be used for what it was intended for. Or maybe not.

Of course, there are always exceptions. For those that do play in the dirt, they sure have a lot of detailing and touch-up to do for the next show!

I just hate people who have extremely capable off road vehicles that refuse to get a speck of dirt on it.

I am not building this truck to keep it on the road, or at shows. I live in the Baja, and I would guess see more off-road time than the most. While the truck is a trailer queen right now as it is being built and prepared for the shows. Nov. 5th it leaves Las Vegas to go run the Baja for the 1st time. I will probably do most of the trip down the Baja off-road, so in the trucks 1st week of life with me it will see close to 1000 miles of off-road use.

Anybody who would like to join me is welcome. I will probably be doing that trip with one of the off-road magazines editors.

So, while we are actually working on the Audio system right now. I thought you might appreciate this. The new brakes came in and ADD shot a picture for them.

I drive past Hennessy twice a week. I got a pic when the transport showed up with 6 new Raptors, so this is what they did with them, cool!

Well The audio and video systems are coming along pretty well. I should be posting some great shots of the finished install in a few days. Here are a couple of teasers though.

Just to let everybody know the trucks audio and video systems are complete. Jacob at High Desert Mobile Electronics has done a fantastic job.

It is not often that you get a chance to install a $20,000 system in a truck.

But, What I am so excited about is that the truck is on its way to ADD in the morning. The next 4 weeks are going to be sick. Stay tuned

Chris, I am a little concerned that the covering of the airbags, although making it a little prettier, is a danger to the occupants of the vehicle. Please ensure for the safety of the driver and any passengers, that the bags will function as they were designed, when you need them most. It would really suck if covering them was the cause of injury, or worse, in an accident. Airbags save lives when they operate correctly, but they can also seriously mame, or kill, if altered.

A question worth looking into.
